Grace and peace to you.
Please make note of the following Grace news.
- Sunday, April 3, Worship Service, 10:30am
This Sunday we continue our celebration of the resurrection and begin our Easter Season worship series entitled, Resurrection: Arise and Participate! This series will be taking a closer look at stories of post-resurrection appearances of Jesus. Pastor Sherry will be presenting her message, “Arise, Walk & Talk” and the scripture is of Luke 24:13-35. Grace is for Everyone!
- Growing In Grace II – Rejoice and Renew!
If you haven’t done so already, you can drop your growing in grace II pledge card in the offering plate today. If you don’t have your pledge card, pick one up in the office and send it in or bring it next week. Like Abraham, we have been blessed to be a blessing. Please commit your resources to grace so that together we can be a blessing to our community, our city, and our world.
Grace member, Kitty Dittrick, passed away on Sunday, March 27, 2016. A memorial service at Grace UMC is being planned for May 21, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. Please keep the Dittrick and Wolters families in your prayers during this difficult time.
Meditation: “Now on that same day two of them were going to a village called Emmaus, about seven miles from Jerusalem, and talking with each other about all these things that had happened.” (Luke 24:13 – 14) I hope you have been walking and talking about all the things that happened as part of your Easter weekend – gatherings of family and friends, the beautiful and inspiring music and dance of Grace Easter worship, and the message that resurrection, new abundant life, comes from a life lived in non-violence, forgiveness, justice, peace, and love. Like the two men on the road to Emmaus, as we walk and talk about these things with one another, we may just experience the presence of God in ways we never imagined possible.
Grace and peace,
