Join us on Sunday, June 13th, 12:00-1:30 pm. at the beautiful Salem Garden! Located just south of the Salem Ave. and Grand Ave. intersection and next to Rally’s, the garden encourages community involvement in the beautification and productivity of our area by sharing well- grown produce to with Garden participants, selling produce to local vendors (including the Gem City Market!) and donating extra produce (primarily to the House of Bread).
Steve Makovec, Coordinator of the Salem Garden, and Secretary/Treasurer of the Salem Avenue Peace Corridor (SAPC). Steve will talk about the Salem Garden, how SAPC is working to fulfill their mission, “To establish Salem Avenue and adjacent neighborhoods as a Community of Peace-with Safety, Prosperity, and Quality of Life,” and the many plans for redevelopment and improvements that are coming.
Box lunches will be provided by Dayton Cooks for $10 each. Please bring your own chair. To reserve your seat and lunch, RSVP by calling the church office at 937-278-4731, email-ing firstname.lastname@example.org. Reservations are due by June 9th.
