H.O.P.E. GATHERING

Looking forward to your presence at the next H.O.P.E. meeting at Grace on Thursday, June 6. Come at 6:00 for a Dayton Cooks! meal, with program to follow. The guest presenter will be Rachel Sobitz (pictured), Director of Community Engagement for relink.org.

Relink.org is an online database for returning citizens and many others. Rachel is passionately committed to helping others find the resources they need to improve their quality of life and help them thrive. She will guide us in learning how Grace can be added the relink.org database of resources.

Relink.org is a faith-based non-profit, serving a spectrum of care needs such as addiction recovery, anti-human trafficking, and Incarceration reentry. It includes commonly searched basic needs, including housing, food, clothing, employment, and mental health.

ANNUAL CONFERENCE

Pastor Steve, David Larson, Roberta Longfellow, Myrna Miller, and Elaine Green will attend the West Ohio Annual Conference from May 29- 31. Congregations have been asked to pray at select times for the work of the Bishop and the conference members. Grace has been signed up for Wednesday, May 29, from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. This time coincides with the Memorial Service which will honor clergy who died this past year, including our former Associate Pastor Alan Sippel. Please hold the Bishop, Pastor Steve, our lay representatives, and Alan’s family in your prayers during that half-hour.

“Gracious God, we humbly acknowledge that you are the source of our life. We confess we are often tempted to try being your church without your love, without your power. Forgive us. Grant to us, grace-full God, to put all our hope and confidence in you. For you are Able. We pray in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
