SUNDAY AT GRACE

Join us for a full morning at Grace on Sunday!  At 9:15 a.m., you will find a group in the Blue Room learning about African history.  At 10:00 a.m., gather for coffee and fellowship in the Ladies’ Parlor.  Then, at 10:30 a.m., experience worship in the sanctuary.  Pastor Steve’s message will be “Clean on the Inside”, based on portions of Mark 7.  And enjoy a special treat:  one of our former pastors, Rev. HOPE GATHERING

HOPE Ministries meets again on Thursday, September 5, at 6:00 p.m. at Grace in person! There will be a meal provided by Dayton Cooks! Heidi Arnold will be our speaker. She will discuss her work at DCI (Dayton Correctional Institute) with JUMPSTART Ohio. JUMPSTART Ohio is a relatively new ministry that is dedicated to providing a Christian environment inside the prison in a 40-week character transformation study using the Purpose Driven Life book as its base. Upon release from prison, JUMPSTART Ohio provides support for employment, housing, and mentoring, in addition to other opportunities.

Today, Friday, August 30, is the last day to register for the luncheon for Dr. Jemar Tisby on Sunday, September 8, at 12:15 p.m.  You have a choice of salmon, chicken, or vegetarian entrees in a meal prepared by Dayton Cooks!  The cost is $20.00 per person.  Contact lisa@graceumc.com to register.  There has been a good response, but there are seats left!
