SUNDAY AT GRACE

This will be a special Sunday, as we welcome Dr. Jemar Tisby, historian and author, to the pulpit. He will preach at the 10:30 a.m. worship service, which will also feature liturgical dance by Jasmin Hines and music from the Grace Choir. At 2:00 p.m., Dr. Tisby will give a public lecture and Q&A, followed by a book signing. There will be some books available to purchase, but if you already have one of his books, bring it! We hope you can attend in person (and bring friends), but you can also watch the worship service here at the Grace Church Dayton channel of YouTube.

As usual, the Sunday morning discussion group will meet at 9:15 a.m. in the Blue Room, and there will be coffee and fellowship at 10:00 a.m. in the Ladies’ Parlor. See you Sunday!

UWF SOUL CARE RETREAT

The Grace United Women in Faith Soul Care Retreat will be held Saturday, September 14, from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the home of Linda Bales Todd, 1441 Roamont Drive in Centerville. Beth Vanoli will be facilitating the retreat, and her theme will be “Nurturing Wonder and Play”!

RSVP’s are needed for this event; so please respond to Linda at joylab47@yahoo.com. Each attendee is invited to bring a covered dish to share. Dessert and beverages will be provided.

This will be a time to relax, have fun and experience a deeper connection with God. Please join us!

WOMEN’S LUNCHEON

We’re trying something new!  Instead of breakfast at Panera, we’ll meet for lunch on Thursday, September 19, at Jimmy’s Italian Cuisine, 824 E. Fifth St. in Dayton, (the old Franco’s) at 11:00 a.m.  We hope this will make it easier for women to attend this gathering for food and fellowship.  We need to know how many can come, so please email Susan Bennett at bennett4407@sbcglobal.net to say you can be there.  Join in the fun!
