SUNDAY AT GRACE
You would be wise to come to Grace on Sunday! Begin at 9:15 a.m. in the Blue Room for a look at the history of the ancient African kingdom of Mali. Then cross the hallway and have coffee and fellowship in the Ladies’ Parlor at 10:00 a.m. After that, join in worship in the Sanctuary at 10:30 a.m., where the topic will be “Wisdom” and the scripture will be Solomon’s request for the same. We will welcome Schneata Shyne-Turner, our guest musician, too! If you can’t attend worship in person, please join us by watching here on the Grace Church Dayton channel of YouTube.
BREAKTHROUGH PRAYER UPDATE
God of Surprises, breakthrough the life of Grace Church and its people.
Reveal to us new ways we can be faithful and fruitful, moving into the future you have in store.
The Grace Breakthrough Prayer Initiative is under way! In small groups and individually, this prayer is being lifted up. Please try to add your voice twice a day.
Hearing about answered prayer gives us hope and encouragement. During our Sunday morning worship, please share with all of us your personal testimony of answered prayer by writing a brief “thank you, God” message and posting it on the “God Answers Prayers” board. For those who are worshiping with us online, you can email your messages to secretary@graceumc.com and they will be posted on the Prayer Board.
Hope Grandy and Roberta Longfellow recently took a prayer walk through the Grace neighborhood. Hope shared her experience, and you can read it here.
BABY ITEMS NEEDED!
The Wesley-Dayton Baby Ready/Infant Mortality (BRIM) program serves West Dayton families with children under age one. Case managers offer individualized, in-home services, advocacy, safe-sleep training, practical guidance, emotional support, and pertinent referrals. Baby shower baskets are offered during fun, educational baby showers or delivered individually.
The 2024 goal of the Grace UWF is to prepare three baskets, which will be collected and blessed during the District Annual Meeting on Saturday, September 28, at Springboro UMC. Donations of items for the baskets may be left in the bins in the church hallways. Checks may be made payable to Women DBA West Ohio Conference, with “Wesley Baby Baskets” in the memo line.
