LADIES’ INTERFAITH TONIGHT
Their last meeting before the summer break is tonight, May 15, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5 p.m. The venue is Temple Israel, 130 Riverside Drive. The topic is “Clothing in our Faith Traditions”.
There is a traffic issue on Riverside Drive. Coming from the south, Riverside Drive is open to Temple Israel. Coming on Main Street from the north, turn east on Babbitt, which goes directly into the Temple driveway.
As usual, you are asked to bring a vegetarian dish to share and invite friends and neighbors. Tell them you are coming at ladiesinterfaith@gmail.com.
WOMEN’S BREAKFAST
TOMORROW!!!!! Please come to Panera Bread behind Town and Country, 4110 Far Hills Ave., at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 16! We talk, we laugh, we eat. and we drink coffee (or tea, or milk, or pop, or lemonade…). It’s a good time, and it will only be better if you are there!
BOOK STUDY
You have two opportunities to join a study of the book The Color of Compromise by Jemar Tisby. One is on Thursdays from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. in the Blue Room. This is led by Roberta Longfellow and David Larson and includes a video presentation and discussion.
The other is on Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m. in the Blue Room. It is led by Marti Pepitone and Susan Bennett. Coffee and Panera treats are available, as well as meaningful discussion.
For both these groups, you are invited to join whether you have attended before or not. The revelations about the history of the church’s involvement in racism in America are eye-opening!
